Mulan the Dude

Once upon a time....

There lived a girl by the name of Mulan in China. She was young and very beautiful, and it was time for her to get married. Obviously she had to go to the matchmaker, but she was so nervous. She had so may questions, what was it like to be with a guy? Her whole life she felt like an outsider like she didn't belong anywhere. The day came when she was supposed to meet with the matchmaker, it did not go so well. First off, she felt uncomfortable with the makeup and hair and those uneccessary things, her dress was so tight she felt like she ciuldn't breathe. She was told she ws too manly and needed to act more like a lady if she wanted to get married.

Mulan felt sad, she didn't want any of this she didn't feel ready. She went home and told her parents about what happened, they wer not too happy, but before they couls say anything, they were interrupted by the messenger boy who gave them a letter, about a war. Mulan's dad quickly started packing his things while her mother prepared his favorite dinner, for he would leave in the morning. Mulan sobbed and pleaded for her dad to not leave, because he was sick and old. Mulan could not fall asleep, she was so worried about her father. She soon fell asleep but awoke a 4 am, and it hit her. She decided to go in for her father. Without thinking, she grabbed her father's suitcase and suited up and she rode away to the camp.

She doesn't know how she made it, but she did. They started training right away, Mulan felt that she was not ready at all. Unlike the disney version, Mulan was all alone with no sidekick dragon or horse that would understand her. She was the weakest of the weak and many started to notice that. She was sent to train with a different group - the weaklings. Training was not easier, in factit was harder, but it was at a slower pace for all the men in that group were the weakest of the weak as well.

She quickly made friends, and felt better. After the war she was most certaintly not the hero of china, but she did find herself, or should I say himself. While away at war she realized that she felt comfortable amoungst guys, and that she wasn't attracted to them at all. Within the year after war, she came out to her family, which they disaproved off and shunned her, she met with several doctors and is now awaiting to ger surgery and become a male.
