Mummification

Daybreak to Nightfall, followed suit by the crack of dawn,
this eternal tango between the sun and the moon,
before they notice that the days have extended into weeks
then months which fall into seasons to be followed by years
have passed since the time of the primitive cavemen generation.

The failure to see the mummification of society,
because of the intoxication of appearances
brought to you by the self-proclaimed master, the media.
Telling females to cake themselves with paint,
Wear the latest loin cloth to display their popping boobs and ass,
as if they were to enter battle with each other like our ancestors did
but instead to see which brute of a man they appeal to most.
While playing at this charade, they proclaim the want to be respect for their minds
and not be subjugated for how they dress.

While men are only to praise women of how they expose themselves
and not worry if their core is rotting away or shines as the North Star.
As for we, men, are to train ourselves to have every muscle bugle out within a slim figure
and display ourselves as a gentlemen but acts out of prehistoric impulse.
Intoxicate our counterparts with the impalement of drugs and alcohol
so there's no recollection of any decision
just to have our dicks wet for the night.

This era of technological advancement has not made such a difference,
even though our intelligence has expanded,
sadly our primitive instincts have continued to stay put.
It seems no matter how far we advance as a society
it seems our instincts will be put to a test,
either by to listen to the societal beliefs versus our own.
The few and proud that decide different are mocked by so-called "peers"

Continuing to digress in this manner
have lead us to drift endlessly into an abyss,
filled up with our arrogant thoughts of process,
while we shied away our batted eyes to darker lies.
The creation of the abyss falls upon us
for we shielded ourselves with other thoughts progress
enabling this mummification to come forth
For there weren't enough that spoke up
It is our fault to see ourselves rot away in our tomb, the Earth.
