muse

for me,

it was always you

an inexhaustible pull

held hostage

all my creativity

spontaneity

stole my words

one glance

words formed a halo

encompassing your soul

all our encounters

begot verse

sentences spoke

stanzas of immense admiration

four years later

my words’ only home

ever being you

you,

my single everlasting muse
