Music is

Music

Is the pulse that runs through our veins

The ebb and flow of traffic in a congested city block

Bending emotion at its will

Music will change the world again

         As it has before

Music was never not

         And always will be

Music is the universal metronome that guides the universe

Without music there wouldn’t have been a 70s

It would go straight from the 60s to the 80s

Music created soul, hope, and justice

Music is a tree falling in a forest

When everyone is around to hear

Music is the end of a war

And the birth of a new

Music is a baby’s cries

         And a mother’s smile

Music is moving forwards

         And falling back

Music is.
