Music
Music gives energy and helps with this life story,
I’m not just talking about playing the violin,
It’s like there’s passion and energy,
This is more than playing the mandolin,
This is more about the intensity.
Today I was sitting in my chair,
Trying to gather my thoughts up there,
When a song came on that changed everything in the air,
Seriously, this tune made my feet start tapping,
It felt like everything was working,
I mean, it really made me feel like dancing.
You might think I was listening to some pop song,
When in reality I was listening to this Bach song,
I wanted to play it on the piano,
So I listened to that instead of Lupe Fiasco.
A lot of people think it’s about feeling every pronunciation,
When it’s more about changing the mental state,
Anyone can write down their situation,
But it takes an artist to motivate,
It’s less about how you got the creation,
But it’s more about how you elaborate.
So I know this guy who like country,
And for me it’s just too nasally,
But then I looked at the lyrics for this melody,
And I realized that there was more than that annoying banjo,
His words actually told a charming story,
And he sang his song with such gusto.
So from hip-hop to the classical,
It’s the passion that’s critical,
That’s why I’m not even saying that music has to be methodical,
I’m rather emphasizing that it’s all magical.
