Music

Music fills my ears constantly,

But not the type you’d expect from me.

Because I listen to metalcore, a music genre that I adore.

People don’t understand.

All they hear is unintelligible screaming.

To me, it is beautiful.

These bands are more than angry guys,

More than what meets the eye.

They are pouring out their souls to the audience, hoping that someone will listen.

Their screams are soothing to me,

Their words fill me with peace.

Someone understands my pain,

I’ve found someone that I can relate,

Someone who feels as close as a family member.

And all I have to do is plug my headphones in and listen.
