To Music
Dear Music,
Nothing is more beautiful than music
Its sweet chords waking your soul inside you
It causes your heart to live and to tick
Giving you new life as fresh as the dew
All else is forgotten when it begins
It takes your worries away from your mind
Nothing is heard but the tune’s turns and spins
A better escape I dare you to find
When someone mentions their favorite song
Be careful how you react to that verse
That song might make them feel like they belong
Even if to you it is the adverse
Music has values different for me
Than your eyes could ever completely see.
Sincerely, Nicole Buiter
