MUSIC

Blasting songs that remind me of you to hopefully drown out your noise

Dre's beats got nothin on how mentally beaten women are by boys

I've learned so much in such a short amount of time

Yet nothing at all because the pain remains solely mine

For me, it always starts out the same in the beginning

It's like there's some hidden male script that needs fulfilling

You called me perfect on that first night

Said there was something about me that intrigued you but you wouldn't fight

He taught me that #1 didn't matter

But if I could go back, I'd most definitely choose the former

You showed me that sex so good can lead to actual feeling

But I should've been more careful with you since I'm still healing

You were both choices I made that brought me to my happy place

But you both flattened me and spat my emotions in my face

He taught me to treat us like going 15 in a 30

But through the course of a year, he proved he was less than worthy

You definitely celebrated your hands on me

But taught me that words and actions mean nothing if you can't accomplish "we"

You both tricked me into thinking there could be a him and I

But you both ever so blatantly lied

I knew you barely 2 months and him almost 2 years

But in the end time means nothing when it comes to tears

They fall the same way, in my lap or on a sweatshirt

You both played a good game looking like damn experts

I know it's all too intense for either of you to understand

But trust me, feeling the way I do and getting ruined by you were never part of the plan

I may have been ruined, lied to and screwed

But in the grand scheme of things, when it comes to how amazing I am who the fuck are you?
