Music- All I Need

I press play-

Immediately wake up from the lull

But I'm still dreaming

Feeling like I'm standing on the hull

Of the boat that I was on

The first time I heard the song

The lyrics quickly hit my lips

Now I'm singing along

Next tune comes on

Eminem's Without Me

It takes me back to 5th grade

Driving down Route 3

Heading to NYC

Just my dad and me

I was enlightened when it played

Because rap music became

My favorite genre and it still is

To this very day

So when I think of all the memories that come from the beats

Music is the only thing that I'll ever need.
