Music and I

Music gently wakes me every early morning

Amy Winehouse begins singing without much warning.

I'll eat breakfast with the Beatles on Sundays, cool!

And ride with the Beach Boys on my way to school.

The Arctic Monkeys aid me through math class

With Turner's vocals and Nicholson's bass.

Bob Marley sings for me halfway through lunch,

And the other half's played by Five Finger Deathpunch.

Michael Jackson rides shotgun on the fun ride home

And at the door I'm greated by Sublime and Rome!

Colin Raye serenades us at the table for dinner

Followed by Jim Croce and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

I stay up late doing homework with Zedd,

And with Celine Dion I fall asleep in my bed.

My music is with me from when I wake to sleep

And will be with me each day in the cycle we repeat.
