Music Divine

the notes hang in the air

each a beautiful utterance

one by one, they float into being

as a melody is painted in the sky.

it has a life of its own

filling each corner of the room

entering each soul, touching every spirit

lasting long after it is sung.

it acts as a messenger

whisking away worry

and replacing it with wonder

as the singer loses himself

and finds eternal solace in the magic.

for it is but magical

its creation a mystery

its effect almost ethereal

the intonations coming from nowhere

and vanishing again everywhere

defying all laws and boundaries of man

reminding him of something beyond his grasp

something eternal, something divine.
