Music on my mind

Alone in this world with nothing in sight

all I need is my music to make everything right

The world around quiet as can be

when my headphones are placed on me

Each beat takes me to a different place

and the chorus sends my mind wandering on a race

The lyrics speak the words I hold in

and each ending leaves me with a grin

Each singer relates to me in a different way

and each song impacts my mood for the day

If music was the only thing I had

I wouldn’t even be a tad bit mad

Music is something I won’t let go of

because it’s what I love
