Musical Escape

Just wanna feel somebody else's pain

For three to four minutes, mine goes away

It's not so dumb when it's been justified

Though it's only ever justified when it's not mine

Sitting on the bus, my mind so high

As the faceless and nameless are all driving by

It's bliss when it's nothing but mixed chords and hues

Telling the story of someone else's heartfelt blues

It's good to get away, to escape to a plain,

a flotilla of thought for my drowning brain

I feel what I hear and hear what I feel

Its great for hiding when I've got thoughts to kill

This is a highly personal poem, but I decided to share it because it expresses some of the darker aspects of my life, and maybe others can relate to it or need to hear that someone gets them on some level. I hope it's not too sad, just a little representative art :)
