Music's Voice
The gentle strum of fingers on a guitar,
Transporting the eager listener to lands of afar,
The pianist’s gentle caress of the keys,
Expressing melodies akin to the waves of seas,
Plaintively calling, the violin mourns in a tune,
That elicits the sorrow once wrapped in a cocoon,
Graceful, elegant, the harpist plucks the strings,
Reviving lost joy, which from the heart springs,
The flute hums a song full of hope and grace,
Its flittering notes transcending time and space
And, at last, the voice, its powers untold,
Unfurls itself in a mighty torrent of emotion,
Anguished hearts find respite in its sound,
While in others, giddy, gleeful songs abound
