This Must Be December

The shaking winter and the stoic caress of wind,

A glowing fairytale of a lonely heart…

It is silent and beautiful, you can see no end,

It is only you and your loving God.

The steps are slow, and the time has stopped,

An empty field where the dogs cry.

It is a house that has been robbed,

It is birds that cannot fly…

I dream sometimes of this beautiful hell,

It is a fortune that brings me back.

I am a creature locked in a cell,

I am a child with a broken leg.

I want to stay! I will surrender.

My sins won’t fade away. This cruel winter!

Feet on the ground, heart afloat.

I have no doubt, I’ll survive the cold.
