Mutability Revisited

Naught may endure but mutability,

take gadgetry for example,

Just an earth years passes

between revolutions and the new gadget, the new, thinner, infinitely superior gadget that revolutionizes, the power that increases through the ages.

And every gadget before is obsolete

Hail to thee, O blithe cell phone,

phone thou never wert

The ever shrinking, ever evolving

phone

From flip phones that nary

could do anything

To smartphones that can almost

create monstrous outcasts

Thou wilst always Endure.

And every gadget before is obsolete

Behold, the ever transforming,

Automobilius,

That’s auto to you

Oh, how they evolved!

From muscle cars,

to European thoroughbreds,

Chevy, Dodge,

Ferrari, Lamborghini.

From Power/Weight to Miles/Gallon.

From horsepower to greenpower

How you have (d)evolved,

And every gadget before is obsolete

And every gadget before is obsolete
