A Muted Resolution

When I feel overwhelmed in a shallow world of people who don’t understand, I find comfort from the writing cramp in my hand. If a picture is worth a thousand figurative words, or so I’ve been told, Then a thousand written words must be worth a million cold. When experiences in my life have me slumped into a depression, I use writing as an outlet of free expression. I believe if more people took to pen and paper Our world and society as we know it would live safer. It’s a simple solution to hate crimes and violence: Write about it. Fight back in silence. This silence I speak of is literal of course. But words of wisdom are, in reality, anything but muted. Sometimes it’s better to fight back with an indirect force. Using words against violence is highly undisputed. If more kids were brought up to embrace and not hide what they’re feeling, I feel like the world would be a more accepting zone. I utilize writing as a method of healing. I write because I find comfort in knowing that I’m not alone.
