My 3 Glances at Him
He was an eminence of something good; at first glint, a soft care taken kiss by a beast. His preying eyes twinkled and glistened while he lurked in the brush; waiting for me to produce weakness. To forfeit faith. To desire his presence. And at a moments chance he pounced.
At second glance he was a cobra. Slipping and sliding between each solid grip. Sloppily sloping through each skinny grove. Strangling each and everything that cares. While suffocating all the love out of each and everything that dares to love it. While suffocating all the hope out of each creature. So it was inevitable that I fell into deep love and care for a beastly creature like so. He took my hope with a deathly choke.
With last breathe and last hope I took my last glance. He was commensurable. He was pitiful. A face I had once loved; now garnished in hate and feeble with the tingle of disgust. Only then do I realize that I'm stronger than him. So much so that I break him until he releases me. Then I slowly walk away. The pain of solidarity over takes him; for he is alone to listen to his own evil thoughts.
That was my last glance and from then on I saw him for who and what he is; intense, vivid, distressing, pitiful, and pathetic. He is nothing more than a memory. But memories always affect you. Memories always attack.
