My Absolutely One Need
As a teen, I dreamed of a boat that could soar through the high heaven and fiery hell.
As a teen, I dreamed of a graceful wolf, standing tall and proud, fangs glittering in the moonlight with wise, old eyes.
As a teen, I dreamed of a beautiful, green planet, full of life and love and purity.
In just matter of seconds, these images constructed themselves in my mind,
Detailed, yet simple.
Real, yet untangible.
My one need, one that I absolutely cannot live without, would be my imagination.
It defines who I am, who I was, and who I will be.
It is the kindling to my fire.
The rings on my ladder.
The key to my door.
My imagination is mine and mine alone.
And I will fight tooth and nail to protect my whole being
