My addiction
To keep from drowning I search for hope
School has been taking away my sleep
I find fulfillment in Diet Coke
With so much to do I’ve no idea what I’ve wrote
I’m tired, I’m sickly, I can hear my bones creak
To keep from drowning I search for hope
The fizzing soothes my throat
The caffeine keeps me from plummeting to the deep
i find fulfillment in Diet Coke
My mind is wandering, my mind is broke
My mind is swimming amongst the reefs
To keep from drowning I search for hope
I will not cry out, nor will I mope
I drink a pack to be what I can be
I find fulfillment in Diet Coke
My fingertips shake like a homeless bloke
I’ve been without rest for weeks it seems
To keep from drowning I searched for hope
I found fulfillment in Diet Coke
