My Addiction

Slowly fading, slowly awakening

My truth behind what was waiting to be revealed

For many years it was sealed, so no one could fathom the depths of my addiction

Just like a chameleon revealing it was camouflage,

My addiction tried to slip out like it was never wrong

All my decisions that caused nothing but afflictions came from my addiction

My once black rose is now bright red from cleaning up my mess

Throwing away what wasn't necessary for my life

Folding everything that was nice since

All my decisions, caused nothing but afflictions came from my addiction
