My advice to you

To my younger self,

I once was in your shoes

Sitting in the classroom

Where all I wanted to do was snooze

Waiting for that bell to ring

Hoping for the arrival of June

And hear the birds sing

But life never comes easy...

I urge you to work hard

Look at your favorite rapper Yeezy

He never pulled that lazy card

Be who you want to be

Or else you’re going to be scarred

Oh also thank mom and dad

They work extra hard for you

From taking care of your flu

To ensuring you become a grad

Don’t take them for granted

I promise you they’ll be glad

As my advice comes to an end

It’s okay to not follow the trend

Have fun

Just don’t be a fool

Enjoy your time of high school

I look forward to your graduation.

- Your older self
