My Alibi

As I lay and bed and drift to sleep
My body aches for you to be next to me
To feel that electricity
I feel whenever you are near
I crave your voice and words
I need you skin touching mine
In a world so full of pain
You are my angel in disguise
To say I want you is a lie
To say I need you is my alibi
You are the only thing that keeps me here
The only one who knows my dreams
The power you hold over me
It’s unreal
How can I love you so much
When all we are is friends and such
