My Amazing Guy

We met at school on a cold winter day,

and I do remember what you did say:

The blues of the ocean can’t compare to your eyes,

and from that moment you gave me butterflies.

Flash forward to summer with all the great weather;

we’d already spent four months together.

We went on adventures and took many streets,

nothing could stop us, not even the heat.

Even though I loved each day they flew by,

you were leaving for college soon and it made me cry.

You packed all our memories away that i’ll miss

and gave me one final hug and a kiss.

It’s almost been a year now, what an amazing streak,

it makes me my happiest when I see you every week.

The weekends are short, they fly on right by;

but nothing compares to my amazing guy.
