My Angel

To My Angel My mind cannot comprehend that a woman would ere love me, Yet before me stands an angel and a miracle I see, For years I prayed for an answer to what lays in store for me. And perhaps this is my answer my future it is she, She speaks with words of beauty and romantic love, She sets my soul on fire and makes my heart fly alike a dove, My mind still cannot comprehend why woman would e'er love me, Yet before me stands an angel and a miracle I see, Her faith has been tried by fire in the crucible of loss, But the pain she held within her was assuaged, When she nailed it to the cross, I still cannot comprehend that someone would e'er love me, Yet before me stands an angel and a miracle I see.
