My Angel

Do you know an angel?

I do not think you do,

'Cause if you did you'd have that 

joy, that same ol' joy I do.

My angel's name is Elsie,

Is your angel's name Elsie too?

You know the one that smiles all day

and is never in a bad mood?

Do you know an angel? 

One that will take care of you?

Well my angel always has, and I 

bet she will do the same for you.

My angel's smile is Big and Bright.

Her heart will shine all through the night.

And on those days you feel so down, 

she'll turn that frown right around. 

She'd pick me up on school days,

and would fix always fix a great lunch.

My angel would sit and talk to with us,

while we sat and munched.

My angel has always made me laugh,

She even listened to Courtney's jokes. 

Sometimes we sat and laughed so hard,

we would start to cry and choke.

Does your angel care about your

family like my angel does?

She told me not to worry 'bout things

she would tell me not to fuss.

Do you know an angel that makes 

the best baked goods? 

If not I guess only I definitely would.

My angel has lots of pictures,

tons of pictures of family and friends.

With my angel it's always like summer fun

never seems to end. 

Do you know my angel 

had to leave from me today?

God took her home and said that she

had done all her work His way.

My angel is no longer with me,

but I do not worry so.

For again I will see my angel,

just like I watched her go.
