My Angel And The Devil

MY ANGEL AND THE DEVIL (POEM-05) Ive looked in the eyes of the Devil He’s looked back into mine I said “are you here to take me” He said “no, now isn’t your time” I’ve given him chances aplenty Been reckless, and done silly things But if Devils exist, so do Angels And mine has got extra strong wings. She’s carried me out of some bad times Lifted me up when I fell Shown me life can be heaven When all I could see was hell The times that I’ve stared into darkness Filled with self loathing and doubt My Angel has sent me a beacon And shown me a way to get out She’s given me strength when I had none Gave me courage when I have felt weak She’s stood and screamed at the devil When I’ve been too frightened to speak My Angel’s disguised as a woman The most important one in my life I knew the Devil had no chance Because my Angel is also my wife I Love you Mrs S. ©MANOJ KUMAR
