My Armor
I Write for my soul to project my heart to ensure I remain whole I refuse to fall apart I live with trouble I mask every tear I crack and stumble overcome with fear The pen is my sword The ink is my connection With very curve of every word I stare at my reflection With the steady release I gently spread my wings I discard my disguise and fill with peace With the liberation my spirit sings The hope I seek The silence I crave I find in every streak and cling on to in every wave I write to counteract my nightmare To escape and crawl into a dream That carries me though the weight I bear And shines for me to follow its confident gleam
