My Baby Max

Max is in heaven now.

He has been since I was four.

He used to clean the floor with his big, raspy tongue

And longue around the house all day long.

He used to hate taking a bath

But he loved his blankie.

He was getting old.

He started to get nervous.

We hated seeing him in pain

So we had to say "goodbye".

That is why, that's really why.

We will miss you, but you will be okay.

You have your blankie.

You may rest in peace.

"Max, you're in heaven now."
