My Bad Thoughts and Me

My name is Cruz And I am worth it. You’re not worth it You’re not worth it I am six feet tall I have jet black hair And hazel colored eyes. Abnormal and hideous Strange and unlovable I am an excellent student with straight A’s. I am also a baseball player and a writer. You’re not good enough You must be perfect You’re not good enough You must be perfect I am worthless All I do is bring worry to my loved ones… Wait- Keep going Keep going My best efforts are still not enough... I am beyond help… Nobody cares about me…… Who are you again? I am Cruz, and I have fallen to dark places. My thoughts cloud my mind like the plague. The Static spoke my name… And I listened. Graced by a miracle, I did not fall victim to my own knife wielding hand. My road to recovery will be bumpy. But, armed with my sword of knowledge and the shield of love from my family and friends… I am now stronger than a thousand armies. I am still here. I am awake. I am alive. I am transformed and forever grateful. The future burns brighter than our sun, And I am ready to charge head on to claim my place among the stars.
