My Beast

The clouds loom,

And the days are full of gloom.

Thinking of how soon will I be release,

Trying to keep my mind at ease,

While I attempt to sustain my enter peace.

Asking the Lord please,

To help me find a way out.

Realizing how my wicked schemes brought my demise,

Blinded by ambition, self-righteousness, and to  much pride.

Feeling empty on the inside,

As undefined as a black hole.

My misery is finding no end,

No stars to light my darkness,

And no planets to fill my void.

Reflecting on my usage of words and how they cut like a double edge sword.

Temper boils  so hot,

Burning as if scolding coal was there in the pit of my soul.

As the ember grows  brighter in the pit of my  very being,

From the heat produces a flame that burns out of control.

How might I contain a roaring flame that no one sees,

Is there anyone out there to help me vanquish my beast.
