My Beautiful Blueberry Bagel

My stomach rumbles

and I cannot wait

for the satisfaction soon to come.

My beautiful blueberry bagel,

sliced to top and bottom

and slathered with peanut butter.

Each bite is an adventure,

with familiar but still exciting discoveries

in addition to the taste of comfort.

The blue dots melted into bagel territory

are pleasing to my eyes,

while the peanut butter spread

helps to please my tongue.

When the last crumb is gone,

I bid goodbye until the time comes

for another comforting bagel consumption experience.
