By My Bed Side

I'm never going to leave, I'm never going to be free again, As I'm waiting for my time to end, I'll make amends, this road is not that long, we had our fun, but when I reach the end, we'll be done, don't cry for me, I'll be strong, when you awake and see, I'll be gone...

I volunteered at a senior center here in town. An elderly woman by the name Kristina had a son, Jacob. Jacob growing up was a trouble maker n during middle school he yelled n hated his mom for trying to keep him away from a bad crowd.so he ran away multiple times to live or get into trouble with his friends. At age 15 he was diagnosed with cancer. During his final days in the hospital his mom was the only one to show up and at his bedside he apologized and told his mom he loved her.during the nite they both fell asleep except Kristina was the only one who woke up. I speak from max's point of view.but anyone who reads this can take it as they will as long as the message is clear life is too short and to love those who will be there to the very end.

I am unsure exactly about the subject of your poem. At some points I believe you're talking about "Us" here on Earth-- this life-- and how short it truly is in comparison to the afterlife. Other times, your words lead me to believe that you are writing from the perspective of one who has done wrong and is currently being punished for it in prison or elsewhere (maybe even mentally or at home). Then, towards the end of your poem I am entertaining the idea that this poem is about two lovers, one of which is leaving the other due to mistreatment. Abstract art is something I truly enjoy because we, as the spectators, are allowed to think of this art in any which way we choose. If that was your goal, then bravo, for you have accomplished just that in a spectacular way! However, if there is some concise meaning to your poem and I have ignorantly missed it, please let me know! :) What is the subject of your poem?
