My Bed vs School
My Dear
Let me tell you today
that you are
my prison and my paradise.
my war-zone and my refuge
the cause of my pain
and the cure
The only company I like
the receiver of many tears
the place where I'm without fears,
The place I go when I’m full of dreads,
The place I go to rest my head.
You're obviously special for me
You support my body when it feels weak
Comfort me with your extra layer of skin
Keep me warm, when the world is cold
Every night, I am yours
During all this years I've known you,
We've never gotten into a fight
We spend so much time together,
Like a young couple in love,
Forever enjoying the honeymoon
Attracted like magnets
Unable to pull apart
I am glued to your body
People think I'm lazy
But all I seek is rest
Yes
Rest, from everything I'm tired of
the assignments and projects
the endless essays
the equations
Wonders rush into my mind
about what will happen next
Will I make it?
Will I really succeed?
Is School really going to help tomorrow?
Only the future knows
The world tries to ignore you
While they honor him as to be the most important
They forget that
HE is always there to break apart the treasured moments that we have together
HE is the reason I have to leave you every morning
Tearing us apart
Without giving me the choice
HE beckons even when the sun is still asleep,
HE makes me wake up at 6am SHARP
Eyes half open,
Walking like a Zombie
He drags me outside
Even when it is 0 degrees below
My fingers NOT WORKING;
my toes and ears FROZEN
My nose BURNT
shoelaces UNDONE
And if I'm Late a minute,
I have to run Or get a detention
JUST to keep me away from you
After all this torture
Is it considered to be for our my own good?
Nah I don't think so
But what I know
is that You are the most loyal, and confident lover I could ever ask for
Thank you SO MUCH for being what no one else could be
Please UNDERSTAND this,
You mean the WORLD to me
MY DEAR
Lovely BED.
