My Beloved Little Weirdo
My Beloved Little Weirdo
To my beloved little weirdo, whose ideas alone question sanity
Whose goal in life is to have someone to torment
Whose mind joins the harmonic winds of nature’s symphony
But whose mood turns molten hot to icy-cold within a heart’s beat
Hard to predict? Yes you are; Hard to figure out? Of course!
If thunder and lightning were to waltz in the gray clouds above, you’d wish to be their dance partner.
If a lion were to bear its fangs, you’d want to pet its head and take it home.
If the world were to fall directly on us both, you’d smile at me like nothing is happening at all.
Bad at telling jokes and cleaning up your messes,
Leaving behind your troubles just to find more of them,
Sometimes, you’re such a handful to deal with.
Most people criticize me on why I’m still with you because of all this.
Could I be just as insane to still be around you?
If so, so what? I don’t mind; heck I’ll embrace being weird!
Just as long as you stay with me my beloved little weirdo.
Besides, if I were to leave you, who else would dance with you under the stormy nights?
Or pull you away from the lion’s den?
But most of all, who else would be perfect for me if not you?
I don’t just want you around to make things exciting;
I need you around to complete who I am, who we are.
My beloved little weirdo, please…..don’t ever change.
