My [Best] Friend

I just want to stay in bed all day. . .
I'm not okay.
I don't know how. . .
I'm suppose to move ahead.
It's hard.

My friend.
No.
My best friend,
you were always there. . .
when no one else was.
I'm miss you.

I'm grateful for what you did.
You supported me.
In many ways through. . .
art,
music,
mental health,
in school,
seeing life differently,
and I couldn't ask for more.
Thank you for being the best.

It hurts,
knowing you're gone.
In the little time you had,
you've made an impact.
An impact that will forever last.

I love you!
I'm sorry,
we didn't talk much.
I hope you're happy.
Happy that I'm following the promise I kept.

I miss you,
my best friend.
