My best friend

My head is in the clouds,

My heart is on my sleeve,

And no matter how many steps I take,

I know that you won't notice me.

I dressed up for you today,

And you looked at me and smiled.

Oh no, wait.

That pretty little blonde haired girl,

Yeah her name,

It's as hot as she is,

But her heart,

I'm going to tell you,

It's cold as ice.

I wore sweats today,

For nobody but me,

That guy who's been my best friend,

Yeah his name,

It goes through my mind at least twice a day.

His heart,

I'm going to tell you,

It makes mine melt.

And when he smiles at me,

I gotta look left and right.

That pretty little brown haired girl,

Yeah her name,

It's the same as mine,

And her heart,

I'm going to tell you,

It makes his melt.
