My Best Friend

Knowing how I feel

Why I feel the way I do.

Twenty minute hugs when I need it

            Always having the perfect words.

Can pull me out of a sea of tears

Wiping my eyes, kissing the top of my head.

            The one I vent to

Tell my every second of the day to.

 Sharing my dreams

I’m not afraid to speak from my heart.

            I can be myself

I can be and act like the idiot I so often am.

 Not afraid of being left

Not afraid to be thought of as crazy or weird.

            I’m random

I’m slow and it doesn’t matter.

 I’m loved

 I’m cared about.

            I find comfort

            I find joy,

 In a warm embrace

 In simple conversation.

This is the relationship I have

            With my Best Friend.
