My Best Friends

There’s two of them.

One in my left ear, the other in my right.

In constant Compliance

So there’s never a need for a fight

Its ...Comfortable

My life is always at constant change

Whether I want to or not

And though I always adjust gradually

I think this time  i’ve simply….forgot

They tell you life’s all about change

But never how scary it can be.

So I isolate myself,

With both of my best friends beside of me

And then life changes again.

I’m surrounded by thousands of people

Yet, no one's talking to me

Though I don't mind it much sometimes

I don’t know,  It kind of gets .. Lonely

Now I want change

I’m thinking, maybe we could be friends

I mean yeah, compliance is comfortable

But it gets lonely and loneliness is a…

Maybe I should just get rid of my headphones.
