My Best FriendThe Song

When I’m high when I’m low

When I don’t know if I should go

On days I try and fail

When life’s forlorn,my heart is torn

I will never say so long

To my best friend the song

Held my head up for the bad

Stuck by my side for the good

Never ran when I had to duck outta sight

Beautiful as a train in the rain

The worlds troubles he’ll prolong

My best friend the song

Townes said to live is to fly

Johnny shot a man in Reno just to watch him die

Kris taught me being free isn’t what’s cracked up to be

Mick told me far away eyes will do the trick

No where’s except with it I feel I belong

My best friend the song
