My best self

The day has finally come,

Graduation.

A mixture of emotion

Sad, glad, happy, fear

Shortly I became a high school graduate

College is around the corner

Time to start over... for the better

A mixture of emotion

Freedom approaching

Alone and scared

Semester one flew by

Building an independent strong woman

I am capable of being alone

afraid and alone

happy and alone

sad and alone

alone.

Maturity has engraved into my body

Happiness...

Finally a form of hapiness has sourrounded within my face

God gave me an experience I was fearful of

Running from my high school reputation

To build a new confident wall

Surrounding myself with joy

My best life is yet to come

On it's way

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel

My best life in sight.
