My Big Brother's Room

The sun shines through

Your windowpane glass

I look out it

To know the weather forecast

Often i wish for

Those days to come back

The days before

You had to pack

Your room empty now

With a fresh coat of paint

I hope that my memories

Of you never go faint

Since i was born

You watched me grow

University of Arizona

I saw you go

Three years later

And a bachelor’s degree

Making a living

Out in Tempe

At your new job

Destined to bloom

Forever empty

My big brother’s room
