My Biracial Son

Dear my biracial son,

I love you,

Your father does too.

There will be many things I can’t protect you from,

Society being #1

I will protect you as best I can

and raise you up to be a man

You are black and you are white

The things they say to you will not be right

You will be tough

And you will be strong

You will succeed

You will overcome

As a mixed race you will never be fully accepted, and for that I apologize

BUT continue to look forward passed rejection.

You are MIXED but, you are not mixed up!
