My Black is Beautiful
I am black and im beautiful whether you like it or not
I was brought into this world and my color was not a thought
My parents did not say : "will she be brown , white or blue "
thats the great thing about god he gave them not a clue
I am black and im beautiful from the curl in my hair
to the chocolate brown of my eyes and sparkle in my stare
from the figure i was blessed with , yes a vessel from god himself
created for my children and the man to be my spouse
I am black and im beautiful and the words i utter are as well
I speak freely and kindly ,a voice to soothe souls
but can be quickly up roared loud and could even scold
yes there is power flowing through my veins and it has nothing to do with color
It has to do with respect and how we treat each other, my skin or the texture of my hair is not a cause to hate one another , nor should the arch in my back or size of butt be something you want to duplicate. while i appreciate that you appreciate all of my assets i think id appreciate it more if you'd look at things from other aspects. Don't define me by the melanin in my skin , the voluptuousness of my by body or the shine in my grin , look at me and the person i am within ......... .........but even if you dont black is still beautiful and so am i even if im two shades to dark or to shades to light
