My Blood is My War Paint
I've got scars on my arms
From years of war
Against myself.
Paranoia lurks in my mind
From voices that use to whisper in my ear.
Fear of the demons
That dangle shiny things
Before my tainted eyes.
Afraid of the darkness
Wrapping itself around me,
Begging me to call it home
Again.
But I use my blood
As war paint,
Turn my blade
Into a sword
And
I
Fight.
