My Body

My body is fine

My body is mine

Others don’t see it

But I know I’m divine

Devine in someone’s eyes

But he doesn’t hear my cries

Cries for a prince that hasn’t come

Cries of a game that hasn’t been won

Cries about a fairytale that hasn’t begun

I want to see my prince

Right in front of me

I want to see my prince

Right at my reach

I want to see my dreams come true

And pick me up off of my feet…
