My Boys

They walk into the room with grins
Of excitement and happiness;
And all that’s bad in the world
Meets the end and everything is alright:
Thus I go sweep them off their feet
Which leads them to giggle.
One boy is four, one boy is two,
Had my hands full, that nameless bliss
Which shows up in every moment with them
Or softly dulls o’er their eyes as they sleep
Where thoughts are gone
How I love when they sleep, how I love to see them peaceful
And on that night and o’er that day
So their lives go on, so I will be there to watch over them
The smiles that win my heart, the love in their eyes
But tell of nights spent watching movies
A time for Cole and Lane at their house
A time for bonding with my boys

I absolutely adore my two young cousins, so I wrote a poem about them.
