To My Boys

To my boys,

Thanks for being the sunshine when it's cloudy,

and the starlight when it's dark.

Thanks for wagging your tails when I come home

and for the sloppy kisses when I'm sad.

I'm so lucky to have loved you

for your short time on this earth.

Even though they say I saved your life,

it's really you who saved mine.

Love, your human
