my brain

i am a fragile bird

my wings too frail to fly

the bones in my ribcage snapped

spinal cord severed

this cage around me is not metal,

yet made of bone

and whitegray matter

this cage is full of nuerons crashing

disorders tearing

ripping apart my skin

slicing into my flesh

this cage is my mind

this cage is everything thats ever happened to me

wrapped up into a small anomaly

an indifference to everyone around this cage

im trapped here

i cannot get away,

because you can escape from everyone but yourself.
