My Bright Purple Bike.
Block by block I pedal my wheels.
My bright purple bike once again makes it up the infamous hill.
I wish for the day I can effortlessly make my way around.
Soon the day has come and I trade two wheels for four.
I buckle my seatbelt for the first time without supervison.
I drive mile by mile rather than pedal block by block.
Years later after I look around the garage to see the bright purple bike collecting dust.
Why did I wish to grow up?
Now life is full of makeup and breakups.
I just long to go back in time and pedal up the hill.
To take in the fresh air after a long day of play.
Life moves too fast.
Especially when you are slowly riding your bright purple bike.
